Poetry
Poems tune our practice of noticing, feeling, and responding to our inner knowing. During times of dis-ease, gratitude, and inspiration, that quiet voice speaks. Taking pause to acknowledge it then having the courage to interact with it through writing is one of the most beautiful pathways toward healing. Writing has helped me grow in my self-trust, self-esteem, and compassion. When I am seeking, scared, solitary, or savoring life, I write to get to know myself better. The more I know myself, the more I begin to trust her and others. Poems are like friends when you feel abandoned, poems are like friends sharing a cool experience. When you acknowledge that it was you who showed up and wrote you through those situations, you can grow in knowing that you are enough.
